Eneseal CR stops gantry corrosion at power substation

This pair of electrical substations is part of Nepal’s only reservoir type hydroelectric power station. After 30+ years in service there was a sizeable amount of corrosion on the substations’ gantries.

The power station’s engineers needed a cost effective and reliable corrosion solution. They turned to the local ENECON distributor for help. The substation gantries were manually prepared then coated with ENESEAL CR. In all, approximately 1,900 square meters were protected at both substations.

A local water authority in Mexico that supplies drinking water to the communities in the surrounding area had three water pumps that needed maintenance.  To prevent further atmospheric corrosion damage to the pump’s metal exterior casing, maintenance engineers asked the local ENECON Distributor to provide a solution.

The pumps were disassembled and the various pieces of the exterior casing were lightly grit blasted to remove any old paint, dirt or rust.  Two coats of ENESEAL CR in Safety Yellow were then applied to protect the casing’s surfaces.

Anti rust cooling tower pipe

These thirty six inch cooling tower supply pipes sit atop of an Atlantic City, NJ casino.  Because of the building’s close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, the pipes had advanced corrosion damage that needed to be repaired to prevent serious future problems.

The local ENECON Fluid Flow Systems Specialist suggested a repair and protection system that has been used on pipes like these in countless applications.

The pipes were first prepared by grinding and scraping to remove loose pieces of corroded pipe and the existing, failed paint.  ENECON’s rust converter, ENESEAL RC, was applied to convert the rust to a black iron oxide barrier.  Three coats of ENESEAL CR were then applied to provide the pipes with long-term corrosion protection in this harsh marine environment.

An historic, luxury, scenic train company in Canada was looking for a product to apply to the roofs of their train cars while performing restoration maintenance.

The local ENECON Distributor in Alberta was contacted and recommended a custom black tinted ENESEAL CR. This was the perfect solution as the maintenance managers did not want to do any abrasive blast to the exterior of the train cars.

After the successful application to the train car roofs, the ENECON Distributor was asked to apply safety yellow stripes on the floor of the train depot.
