Eneseal CR stops gantry corrosion at power substation

This pair of electrical substations is part of Nepal’s only reservoir type hydroelectric power station. After 30+ years in service there was a sizeable amount of corrosion on the substations’ gantries.

The power station’s engineers needed a cost effective and reliable corrosion solution. They turned to the local ENECON distributor for help. The substation gantries were manually prepared then coated with ENESEAL CR. In all, approximately 1,900 square meters were protected at both substations.

At a power sub-station in Western Pennsylvania, this metal storage building had severe corrosion issues. The substation engineers had to find a solution to protect the building as well as upgrade its appearance.

The entire exterior of the building and standing seam roof were prepared by grinding to remove loose corrosion and wiped down with denatured alcohol.

Two coats of ENESEAL CR, ENECON’s corrosion resistant, flexible coating, were applied to the building, door and roof.

Despite hot summer temperatures, and frigid PA winters, the shed was still in service and looks as good as it did the day it was originally protected.
